MAKE A FEAST UNDER THE OPEN SKY
Food over a fire has always been a natural part of life under the open sky, but in the past it was more for lack of better, where today it is more considered outdoor enjoyment.
We would therefore like to challenge you to outdoor cooking held up to today's standards. Can you create a regular feast with simple ingredients, primitive utensils and a joint effort?
We start by presenting the participants with today's 3-course menu, all of which must be prepared by you yourself in nature's kitchen. The entire menu will consist of food prepared over a fire according to old principles and is composed of seasonal ingredients.
We use a number of special cooking methods, all of which are concentrated around the common kitchen, called the 'food station', which the participants have built themselves.
Among the dishes you will be able to find things like plank fish, pig on a skewer, rabbit ragout, pot bread etc., depending on what the season offers. The participants will have to handle the meat themselves, which will subsequently be included in the various dishes.
The tasks are distributed in such a way that everyone gets to contribute to the feast, which i.a. means that someone has to set up the kitchen, prepare fuel, make a bonfire, create the right atmosphere and of course the whole food part.
To ensure good hygiene during the event, we will set up a washing station with soap and water, and we will use modern kitchen remedies for the preparation.
The whole event can be spiced up with wine, special brew and maybe mead!
